Classified by raw material composition

There are various ways to classify fabrics, and one important classification method is based on their raw material composition. This classification method can clearly reveal the basic characteristics of each fabric, thereby helping us better understand and apply them. Next, we will explore in detail this classification method and the various types of fabrics it covers.

1. Classified by fiber raw materials
Pure textile: a fabric made from a single fiber raw material, such as pure cotton, pure wool, etc.

Blended fabric: A fabric made by mixing two or more fiber materials, such as a blend of cotton and polyester.

Interwoven fabric: a fabric made by interweaving yarns of different fiber materials, such as an interwoven fabric with pure cotton warp and polyester weft.

2. Classified by yarn category
Yarn fabric: a fabric made entirely of single yarn, commonly used for weaving, knitting, or knotting.
